Message from the East
Arthur "Art" Pendelton, Worshipful Master 2007
Brethren,
Our Virginia Masonic year is nearing its close. We are looking forward to our November Grand Annual Communication in Richmond as a time when we will welcome our newly elected Grand Lodge Officers and offer our most sincere appreciation for those who have served us so faithfully during this past year. It is also a time when we will reflect upon the accomplishments of our individual lodges and confirm our future plans.
As we plan ahead let us remember why we joined the oldest fraternal organization in existence and why it is that we proudly bear the badge of a Free and Accepted Mason.
There is no secret to what we believe:
We believe in God.
We believe in the Brotherhood of Man.
We believe in service to those who are less fortunate.
We believe in helping young people get a head start in life.
And we believe in freedom.
We assemble as Master Masons for:
Personal growth
Friendship
Participation in community service and philanthropy
Belonging to an organization committed to making a difference
My hope and challenge to all my Brethren is that the faithful performance of the duties and obligations of Freemasonry enable us to better serve mankind and continue our glorious works for Humanity.
May God be with you till we meet again.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Arthur Pendelton
Worshipful Master 2007
